Beyond Borders: Exploring New Perspectives with a Turkish Professor
Training and networking are essential part of CROPINNO activities. Professor Kubilay Yildrim from Ondokuz Mayıs University in Samsun spent two weeks at the Institute of field and vegetable crops.
During his visit, we got a chance for mutual learning and knowledge exchange. By the end of professor`s stay, he gave us a lecture on “Application of new breeding methods in plant breeding”. Researchers from Sunflower department of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, including our team members, attended this lecture. Each of us had the opportunity to discuss potential application of CRISPR technology in their research programme. A further opportunity for mutual collaboration was explored, especially in the preparation of future joint projects.
