The CROPINNO project continues to foster collaboration and capacity building within its network of leading research institutions. From September 24th to 26th, 2024, members of the CROPINNO team participated in a training program held in Córdoba, Spain. This training, hosted by the CSIC-IAS (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Institute for Sustainable Agriculture), focused on equipping administrative staff with the necessary skills to navigate the intricacies of EU projects.

The training program, specifically organized under the framework of the CROPINNO Horizon Europe project, explored important aspects of EU project management. During first day, held at the CSIC Delegation for Andalusia in Seville on September, our team explored the critical process of technology transfer. This session provided insights on bridging the gap between research advancements and real-world applications. Participants gained knowledge on patenting procedures, the role of project and technology transfer offices, and effective methods for disseminating research outcomes.

Building upon this foundation, the second day of training focused on strategies for effective dissemination activities within EU projects. By learning from the practical experiences of their CSIC-IAS colleagues, the CROPINNO team got recommendations on how best to communicate research findings. This interactive session highlighted the importance of fostering strong collaboration between researchers and project/technology transfer offices to ensure impactful dissemination efforts.

This training program proved to be an enriching experience for the CROPINNO team. By acquiring practical knowledge and strategies from colleagues at CSIC-IAS, the team is now better equipped to effectively manage EU projects and communicate research outcomes for a wider audience. This enhanced capacity will undoubtedly propel the CROPINNO project forward in its mission to develop and implement innovative solutions for climate-resilient crop production, fostering a more sustainable future for agriculture.
