Enhancing Research Infrastructure Management
In May 2025, representatives from the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops (IFVCNS) participated at workshop organized by Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ) in Brussels dedicated to improving research infrastructure management in plant phenotyping.

- Coordination strategies within large research associations like Helmholtz
- Access to EU funding and policy engagement
- National and institutional approaches to managing plant phenotyping infrastructure
- Experiences from European projects including EMPHASIS, AgroServ, and Microbe4Climate
IFVCNS contributed insights into Serbia’s plant phenotyping landscape, highlighting its infrastructure and international collaborations. The Climate Crops Centre of Excellence and ongoing EU-funded projects were also presented.
This exchange strengthened institutional understanding of research management frameworks and opened new avenues for collaboration between IFVCNS, FZJ, and other European partners working to advance plant phenotyping science.
